Catechists Are Us
Preparing today’s disciples or followers of Jesus is the mission of religious education or, as the Church calls it, catechesis. And it’s not just for the pre-K to Eighth Grade set. It’s the right of every Catholic of every age, from womb to tomb. Catechists hand on the Faith through Scripture and Tradition, spirituality and liturgy to help make everyone a disciple. Catechists Are Us shares learning opportunities, news, spiritual resources and more for all who catechize and all who are catechized.
Maureen McKew is director of communications/marketing for the Archdiocesan Catechetical Office and one of the two Girl Guides to Catholicism who visit Sirius Radio’s “Pathways of Learning.” Fourteen years ago, she made the leap from marketing cosmetics to marketing education and has never looked back.
